Local news in Pittsburgh reported that the so-called leaders of the Free Palestine Encampment at University of Pittsburgh had collaborated with police. Despite the brief confrontation with police while some activists tried to establish some tents on ACTUAL school property, it has been exposed that there were ground rules set between these managers of revolt and the local pig army.
This explains the overall weakness and ineffectiveness of the encampment. They established ground rules to not actually disrupt anything on campus including the graduations occurring the weekend that overlapped the establishment of the encampment in support of Gaza.
This exposes the real facts on the ground. The attempt to establish even the limpest of encampments was pre-determined to fail because of collaboration.
This should be viewed as what it is: a traitorous act towards all well-meaning people engaged in social war with the capitalist system to end the genocide in Gaza.
This is where it gets heavy but necessary. The “leaders” who decided it was worth it to sell out all the people who came to help the encampments should be named and shamed. As anarchists, we should be aware of who these people are so we can know never to trust these people when situations get hot.
Anyone who collaborates with police is someone who is not a friend to people engaged in war against the system.
